This course will not teach you how to play guitar per se but more :P. It's all about music theory. Scotty likes to refer to the guitar as a "dumb machine", analogous to a typewriter. One has to understand the language(music, with guitar) to properly use either machine. Scotty is an excellent teacher and I think that just about any guitarist can benefit from his course. The Course is divided in many lessons having 7 chapters each. Scotty posted some of the initial DVD lessons on youtube so check it out.
